The SIRC of ICMAI (Southern India Regional Council of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India) conducted a Professional Development (PD) meeting on the topic "New Opportunities under Income Tax Act for CMAs" at the SIRC premises on 28th September 2024. The session was led by CMA Dr. Gopal Krishna Raju, a Registered Valuer under the Income Tax Act, who shared his insights and expertise on the evolving opportunities for Cost and Management Accountants (CMAs) under the Income Tax Act. The meeting aimed to explore new avenues for CMAs in taxation, valuation, and related financial services, helping professionals stay updated and capitalize on emerging trends.

SIRC of ICMAI celebrated Swachhata Hi Seva drive (SHS) 2024 at its premises on 28.09.2024. The 'Swachhata Hi Sewa' (SHS) 2024 event held at the SIRC (Southern India Regional Council) premises on 28th September 2024 included significant activities aimed at promoting cleanliness and sanitation. As part of the event, a mega cleanliness drive was organized with a special focus on clearing dirty and difficult garbage spots, also referred to as "black spots." An important highlight of the event was the recognition of sanitation workers. Their invaluable contributions towards maintaining cleanliness were acknowledged and honored during the event, showcasing the appreciation for their often underappreciated efforts. The activities not only focused on improving the physical environment but also emphasized the importance of community participation in maintaining cleanliness and promoting a hygienic society.

The session aimed to offer guidance to students on various career opportunities, with a focus on Cost and Management Accounting, helping them understand the prospects and professional pathways available in the field.

SIRC of ICMAI organized a Faculty Meet on 18.09.2024, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the SIRC premises. During the meeting, faculty members discussed their concerns, and CMA Vishwanath Bhat, Chairman of SIRC, provided suggestions. CMA Srinivasa Rao, Vice Chairman, and CMA Praveen Kumar, Secretary of SIRC, also offered valuable guidance to the faculty. This event served as a platform for faculty members to engage, share insights, and discuss various academic and professional matters related to the ICMAI curriculum and training programs. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by CMA Gomathisankar, Treasurer of SIRC.

SIRC of ICMAI organized a "Members Meet with President, Vice President, and Council Members" on 05.09.2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The Guest Speaker, CMA Manoj Kumar Anand, Council Member of ICMAI, delivered a talk on the ‘Report of the Committee on Cost Accounting Records.’ The meeting provided an opportunity for members to interact with the leadership of ICMAI and gain valuable insights into recent developments in cost accounting records.
